The Best Lululemon Leggings Dupes
Feel free to call me basic, but I’m a diehard Lululemon stan. When I first moved to NYC, in addition to waitressing and working at the front desk of a gym, I worked in the Lululemon meatpacking store- and that employee discount felt like Xmas everyday. I may have been living in a closet, but my Lulu leggings made me feel really grown up and made me feel like a million bucks at dance auditions.
Even now, I’m a big promoter of the idea of dressing the part to boost your mood and motivation. When I’m struggling with finding the initiative to work out, putting on a cute set makes me feel more excited about hitting the mat.
While Lululemon is my preferred purveyor of stretchy pants, as a small business that consists of solely me, (also, duh, we’re in a pandemic) though, I’m also on a budget! And so, through extensive research, I’ve narrowed down the best Lululemon dupes on Amazon. (includes affiliate links!)
The Best Lululemon Dupes On Amazon
The Lululemon Align Tight
The pilates/yoga MVP. I wouldn’t wear these for a super intense cycling or bootcamp class because they won’t keep you as dry as some other options below- but wowww- they are so soft you feel naked and that’s a crucial staple in any pandemic wardrobe. If you do decide to go Lulu- I actually prefer the SUPER High Rise because they come above the bellybutton vs sitting right at it like the High rise which reminds me to engage my core.
The Lululemon Align Joggers
See above for more about how insanely comfy this material this is- but in a roomier fit!
The Lululemon Brushed Wunder Unders
Truthfully, I don’t leave my house ALL that much these days, but I can tell you from experience, that venturing the cold in meshy cutout leggings during Winter in NYC is a bad idea. I have hacked this in the past by layering joggers on top of my leggings for cold days- but in addition to your top layers and big puffer coat, I can sometimes feel claustrophobic with too many layers. Anytime in rulu from lululemon is amazing at being sweat wicking and a little copier than your standard under under- the problem is that rulu stuff tends to sell out when the first leaf falls and I’m left shivering all winter. Again, def wouldn’t do a hot yoga class in these because of the brushed fleece inner layer, but a regular pilates workout or errands and they’re just right. The Amazon ones are actually warmer in this case!
The Lululemon On the Fly Jogger
The On The Fly crops and joggers are my go to hiking pants- I generally wear or at least pack pants even for summer hikes because I’m the group mosquito magnet and am such a bad scratcher I end up with scars from bites that last me til the next summer if i don’t! These are also a great layering option over thinner leggings/comfy pj pants.
The Lululemon Align Tank
I find myself only reaching for my longline bras these days- and you already know how much I love the Align fabric.
The Lululemon Evolution Leg Warmer
I won’t lie, the lululemon version is def thicker and therefore, probably warmer,- but these Amazon dupes give you the look and extra warmth all the same.
The Lululemon Pack It Down Jacket
This one I use mostly for camping and/or hiking. I’m the queen of always being cold. My future MIL calls me “une frileuse” which is French for “woman who is constantly freezing”. If you too, are constantly freezing you need a packable jacket that you can fold up into a little clutch when you don’t need it- or just an easy outer layer for quick errands and dog walking. The lululemon one is cut to more of a tailored shape, and the Amazon one here is a bit more straight cut.
Psst: there’s a shiny lulu version too if that’s more your style.
How To Save Even More Money Shopping For Activewear
If you’re a fellow fitpro, I’m assuming you already know about the industry discount, but in case you didn’t- make sure you sign up for the Sweat Collective so you can save money on the Lulu splurges.
If you’re not in the wellness industry, you can still find really cheap designer athleisure second hand! The bonus here is that it’s def the more sustainable approach. If you can get over the idea that someone sweat in these before you (and you have a washing machine) check out Poshmark for deals on popular items— I sell a bunch of my gently used items there too if you’re interested! Check out my Poshmark Closet here.
