How it works:

1) Open up the On Demand Studio tab on Helen Phelan Studio and click on your profile avatar on the top right hand side of the class catalog.

2) Click your profile photo and you’ll see a dropdown menu, and an option to Refer A Friend. (when you’re logged, the top right corner profile button will have your initials or your profile photo, if you’re not logged in, you’ll just see Log In here and no drop down so be sure to sign in).

3) Copy and send your unique link to your new accountability buddy, and when they join, regardless of which membership they choose or which one you’re on, they’ll get $10 off their first month, and you’ll get a $10 credit deducted from your next payment! There’s no limit to how many people you can refer, so share away and keep racking up free pilates!

How many people can I refer?

You can refer as many people as you want, (please do!) as long as they are new customers! For example, if you’re on the monthly $29.99 plan and you referred 3 people one month, your next payment will be discounted $30—aka my favorite number, free!

How does the referral link work?

The referral link includes a user-specific variable in the URL that stores a cookie in the browser for whoever clicks the link. If the user signs up within 30 days of the cookie being stored, the referral will be successfully linked.

Can anyone use Refer a Friend to refer users?

To access the Refer a Friend feature and share the referral link a user must have an active subscription. The referral discount is only valid for new subscribers.

What subscription plans work with referrals?

All plans can receive referral rewards. The $15 credit is deducted from your next payment, so if you are on the monthly membership, you’ll pay $10 less the next month, or if you’re on the yearly membership, you’ll get a $10 discount on your next payment.

How does the tracking work?

Refer a Friend works via a stored cookie. So if your friend doesn't sign up via the link you provide them, the referral connection cannot be made. An example would be if your friend clicks a referral link on their phone, doesn't sign up, but later creates an account on their laptop without clicking the referral link. The platform has no way of linking this user since the cookie was never stored on their laptop, only on their phone. A hack to make this easy for all?! You can simply let your referee know the function of the link so they know how important it is to use it! They still forgot? Grrr. No problemo— just shoot me an email CC-ing your referee letting me know and I’ll manually add your bonus to your plan.
